Rukwa Rift Details

Rukwa Rift was a collaboration with Ohio University's paleontology department, working with Nancy Stevens to recreate a square kilometer of an area called Rukwa Rift in South Africa as it would have existed 16-25 million years ago (the Cenazoic Era). In this virtual reality application, the user is able to explore the space and interact with realistic prehistoric mammals, reptiles, and amphibians that the paleontology department has discovered!
